Edward was a brickmason. He had the same birthday as his wife, but 1 year earlier. He lived at 13th & State, Quincy, Illinois, in 1884, and lived between 14th & 15th and Monroe in 1887.

The family lived at 13th & Payson in 1893, 608 S. 15th in 1910, and at 1508 Jefferson in 1916. Edward died of a heart attack in his chair at home. Widow Gussie lived at 1028 Jefferson in 1926.

In 1913, when his son George died, the family was living at 608 S. 15th St.
